Who We Are

What we do

We've called our business Eulogy Edge, because whether you're writing a eulogy about someone else's life or writing your own life story, the intention is the same - a presentation of life's memories. We want to give you the edge by sharing our skills and resources with you, so you can write the best possible eulogy, tribute, or life story.

After experiencing the loss of someone close, there are many emotions and situations to deal with, so we're also in the process of creating a guidebook for dealing with this big change in your life.

If you want to write a great eulogy that keeps the listeners interested all the way through, that gives them a sense of connection with the person who has died, and that leaves the listeners with a lasting image that comes to mind each time they think of the person, then you've come to the right place.

The best eulogies you've heard will bring to mind a rich and beautiful snapshot. You may see your aunt laughing and spilling her tea, as she trips on her little dog near the rose bushes. You'll remember her sense of humour and good nature, the warm feeling in her house, how she loved animals and people, her clumsiness, her clever wit, and the arty gifts she would give you.

If the snapshot you've always had in mind for your Uncle Barry was him being bad-tempered and speaking rudely to his wife, after hearing a eulogy for him, you may be left with a new snapshot of him playing with his grandchildren and letting them jump all over him. You'll remember his playful and easy-going side, and the fact that he was often very affectionate towards his wife, too.

How we can help you

If you've just experienced the loss of someone, you will have the pressure of time constraints to write a eulogy, while at the same time being engulfed by your own stress, making arrangements, and perhaps having to deal with the stress and grieving of others around you too. 

Writing a eulogy or tribute is not something you need to do on a regular basis, unless you're a funeral celebrant. So when the time comes to write one, many people do not think they have the writing or presentation skills for it, and they leave it to others. They often have regrets for a long time to come, and wish they had taken that final opportunity to honour their special person.
